Damn. Sony Mobile has Announced the World's First 4K Smartphone today on the IFA press conference which is known as Xperia Z5 Premium (E6853, E6833, and E6883) with a 4K display with 3840 X 2160 resolution. Xperia Z5 Premium will feature a 5.5-inch 4K display along with the same latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset (Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57) with latest Adreno 430 GPU. The fact is device is packed with a Non-removable Li-Ion 3430 mAh battery which will be very useful to the 4K Display
Xperia Z5 Premium takes a giant leap in display technology, adding more pixels to reach an ultra-sharp 806 PPI. That’s around 10x the pixels of a Full HD TV and more than double for most smartphones. Also Xperia Z5 Premium isn’t shy. It loves to be noticed. Available in chrome, black, and gold, it is precision-etched with the Xperia™ mark and finished with a stunning mirror effect on the back. It also has a 5.1MP Exmor R front facing camera which could take amazing selfies.
So you should think that many pixels would kill the battery, but you’d be wrong. Sony claims Xperia Z5 Premium will still have the same ‘two-day’ battery found in the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact. Other than the Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium has a battery capacity of 3430mAh and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. There's an option on the Xperia Z5 Premium as "extended standby" which turns off apps and functions when the display is not used. A quick press of the power button reinstates all functions.
